Delaying the demolition of an illegal construction in Buon Ma Thuot City

Long Du |

Dak Lak - Authorities have temporarily postponed the enforcement and demolition of a large-scale illegal construction project in Buon Ma Thuot city.

On November 12, the authorities of Buon Ma Thuot city, Dak Lak province postponed the enforcement and demolition of the illegal construction of Mr. P.N.D's family (Hoa Thang commune).

Mr. D's family's project converted perennial crop land to non-agricultural land in a rural area with an area of nearly 530 square meters (in Hoa Thang commune, Buon Ma Thuot city).

The family built a house and a concrete yard. The reason the authorities postponed the enforcement of the above construction is to review some documents to ensure compliance with legal regulations.

On the same morning, the People's Committee of Hoa Thang commune also requested the professional unit (Department PK02, Dak Lak Provincial Police) to handle the pack of aggressive dogs inside Mr. D's land.

Previously, in November 2023, the People's Committee of Buon Ma Thuot City issued a decision to sanction and enforce illegal construction works on the agricultural land of Mr. D's family.

Mr. D's family sued the City People's Committee. Then, the Dak Lak Provincial People's Court at the first instance accepted the lawsuit of Mr. D's wife.

However, at the appeal hearing, the High People's Court in Da Nang revised the first instance judgment; it did not accept the lawsuit of Mr. D's family requesting to cancel the decision of the People's Committee of Buon Ma Thuot City in implementing remedial measures for the illegal construction.
