According to Lao Dong, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Yen Bai province has just reported on the situation of receiving support from units and organizations to support the people of Yen Bai province to overcome the consequences of natural disasters caused by storm No. 3.
Accordingly, as of November 19, the Yen Bai Provincial Relief Mobilization Committee received more than VND 246.7 billion in support from domestic and foreign organizations and individuals.
Currently, 132 billion VND has been allocated and there is still more than 113.8 billion VND left.
Notably, of the remaining amount, only 8.5 billion VND has a plan for allocation. The amount of 105.3 billion VND has no plan for allocation.
On November 20, at the online conference with districts, towns and cities on the allocation and disbursement of funds to support overcoming the damage caused by storm No. 3 and the expected funding to continue to support overcoming the consequences of the damage from the Fatherland Front, Mr. Tran Huy Tuan - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Yen Bai province requested that localities need to review, compare and take responsibility for damage statistics.
Along with that, it is necessary to focus on disbursing allocated resources to ensure proper policies and targets. Localities that do not have statistics on agricultural production losses need to urgently complete reports to disburse support to people; review households that do not have land to build houses to support, and ensure the target of 100% of households with housing losses have new houses before Tet.
The head of Yen Bai province emphasized the need to publicize and make transparent the support source to beneficiaries, on the principle of timely allocation, proper use, and effectiveness.
The Provincial Party Secretary - Chairman of the People's Committee of Yen Bai province assigned the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Yen Bai province to establish an interdisciplinary monitoring team to organize inspections and supervise the disbursement of funds to support damage recovery caused by storm No. 3 in localities.
