Currently, Son La province is training 1,061 Lao students from the provinces of Hua Phan, Luong Pha Bang, U Dom Xay, Bo Keo, Luong Nam Tha, Phong Sa Ly, Xieng Khoang, Xay Nha Bu Ly and Say Xom Bun. Of which: Son La Medical College 259 students, Son La College 422 students, Tay Bac University 380 students.

At the program, delegates and Lao students reviewed the history of the steadfast struggle of the Lao ethnic people, leading to the birth of the Lao PDR 50 years ago; at the same time, affirmed the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos that was painstakingly built by President Ho Chi Minh, President Kaysone Phomvihane and generations of leaders of the two countries.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Vice Principal of Son La College, said that the school always focuses on supporting Lao students in their studies and lives. Training Lao students is an important task, contributing to preserving and fostering the Vietnam - Laos friendship, he emphasized.

Student Ni Tha Con Su Da Thip, class K13c pharmacy college, Son La Medical College, shared: Attending the celebration program organized by the school makes us very proud. Teachers and friends are always helpful, friendly, creating a feeling that the 50th anniversary of National Day in Laos is as close as in their homeland.
