HUE - Hue City People's Committee requested to provide documents, clarifying the process and origin of fireworks used after the fireworks display in Ky Dai.

On May 10, after reporting on the incident in the fireworks display in Ky Dai Hue on the evening of May 3, Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Nguyen Van Phuong directed the Department of Culture and Sports to review, clarify, and request the Hue Monuments Conservation Center to provide all documents related to the type of fireworks used in the program.

According to the report, the fireworks display performed by the Viet Giang Company Coordination Center caused a firecracker to fall into the audience area, causing panic. The organizing unit admitted the technical error and publicly apologized.

The Department of Culture and Sports coordinated with Hue City Police to clarify the technical process and origin of the fireworks (believed to be the type of "Z-shaped F30 Fire Dragon", not in the group of firecrackers), and at the same time requested the organizer to provide relevant documents, rectify all events organized at risk of fire and explosion.

The People's Committee of Hue City requires that fireworks use programs are only allowed to be organized when fully complying with the regulations in Decree 137/2020 and Decree 56/2023 on the management and use of fireworks.
