According to the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police Department - Khanh Hoa Provincial Police, the rescue and relief forces have mobilized their dogs to the Hoang Nguu Son mountain area, Nam Nha Trang ward.
This is to search for Mr. Nguyen Ba Khanh Cuong (born in 2003, residing in Phan Rang ward, Khanh Hoa province).
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reported that since the evening of August 4, relatives have not been able to contact Mr. Cuong. After checking, the family determined that Cuong had informed friends and relatives about climbing the mountain to conquer Hoang Nguu Son peak.
A photo of Mr. Cuong appearing at the top of Hoang Nguu Son's top was sent from Cuong's phone number.
The young man's motorbike was also parked at a resident's house at the foot of the mountain, on Do Xuan Hop Street (Nam Nha Trang Ward).
On the morning of August 5, Cuong's friends reported on their personal page and went to the mountain to search, but there were no traces of Cuong, so they reported it to the authorities.
At 5:00 p.m. on August 5, after receiving the report, the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Area 1 (under the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Khanh Hoa Provincial Police) dispatched rescue vehicles and 7 officers and soldiers to Hoang Nguu Son Mountain to search.
By late afternoon, the rescue team had reached the top of the mountain and launched a search in the top area and surrounding trails.
However, the Hoang Nguu Son mountain area has rugged terrain with many high cliffs and dangerous deep ditches.
At 0:15 on August 6, the units agreed to temporarily stop the search, waiting for the light to continue the rescue work.
Since the morning of August 6, rescue units, relatives, friends and many Nha Trang residents who have experience climbing mountains and pineapples in the Hoang Nguu Son mountain range have jointly organized the search for victims.
Hoang Ngu Son Mountain, 972m high, is known as the "roof of Nha Trang" and is an attractive destination for those who love mountain climbing and nature exploration.
On the local government side and people with a good understanding of the terrain here often warn against climbing mountains alone. Because this area has many cracks and trees with dense forests, there is a potential risk of getting lost and being unsafe, especially for people unfamiliar with the road.
