Tuyen Quang - The forest fire broke out at Nghiem mountain (Yen Son) and then spread quickly, making firefighting difficult.

On March 21, a source from Lao Dong Newspaper said that a serious forest fire occurred in Nghiem mountain area, Hoang Khai commune (Yen Son, Tuyen Quang).

Accordingly, at around 12:30 on the same day, the fire suddenly broke out on the mountainside, then spread quickly, creating a dense column of smoke, covering the entire forest area.

As soon as the information was received, nearly 500 people were mobilized to the scene to deploy fire fighting measures such as spreading firebreaks, using tree branches, wind blowers and spraying water to control the fire.

However, due to complex terrain and difficulty in accessing specialized fire fighting equipment, the fire fighting force mainly had to use manual measures.

Strong winds continuously caused the fire to flare up again, threatening the surrounding forest area. The authorities had to divide into many groups to create more widespread fire belts.

By 4:00 p.m., the fire was basically under control. The authorities will maintain the unit on duty at the scene to prevent further outbreaks. At the same time, the cause of the fire was being investigated.
