On the afternoon of November 14, in response to the particularly serious landslide situation in Hung Son commune, Da Nang city, the City Military Command promptly took action, mobilized maximum forces, closely coordinated with local authorities and units stationed in the area to deploy rescue measures, ensuring absolute safety for the people.
Previously, at around 9:30 a.m. on November 14, at the headwaters of the dam and the Ga Ry Border Guard Station about 250m away, a large-scale landslide occurred, burying many areas and causing traffic congestion of more than 200m.
The incident left 3 people missing, including: Mr. So Lam Nho (police officer), Mrs. Briu Thi Tep (Mr. Nho's wife) and Hoih Zi nut. In addition to human losses, the landslide also damaged 3 motorbikes, 5 Jun houses (houses for farming), 9 cows and 15 hectares of people's rice fields.
As soon as the incident occurred, the City Military Command directed the District 2 - Thanh My Defense Command and local forces to urgently deploy forces to approach the scene, and 103 officers and soldiers were mobilized from the City Military Command, the District 2 - Thanh My Defense Command, the militia force of Hung Son Commune, Ga Ry Border Guard Station, the Commune Police and the People's Committee of Hung Son Commune, along with 2 flycams and 3 cars actively participating in the search and mobilization mission.

The City Military Command also directed local forces to coordinate with local authorities to promptly organize the evacuation of 84/314 people of Glao village and 87/350 people of H Jun village out of the danger zone. At the same time, the Forward Command Department was established right at the scene by Lieutenant Colonel Tran Kim Tuan, Deputy Commander of the Da Nang City Military Command, to promptly operate all search and rescue activities and ensure safety for the participating forces.


In the coming time, with the possibility of prolonged heavy rain, steep terrain, and a very high risk of further landslides, the City Military Command has requested forces to maintain the highest level of readiness, deploy the search for 3 missing victims with a spirit of urgency and determination but ensure absolute safety.
At the same time, forces coordinated to support people in evacuating, protecting assets, and maintaining stable conditions in the area. The Da Nang City Military Command continues to closely monitor developments, report to the Military Region 5 Command and direct forces to promptly handle and minimize damage to the people.
