On January 31 (the third day of the Lunar New Year), tourists from many provinces and cities across the country flocked to Da Lat (Lam Dong) for sightseeing and relaxation. Many large hotels in the city were operating at full capacity to meet demand.
A representative of Du Parc Dalat Hotel said that as of the morning of the third day of Tet, the hotel was fully booked. Compared to the same period last year, the number of guests this year has increased slightly and the hotel continues to operate at full capacity to serve tourists.
According to a survey, many hotels and homestays in the suburbs as well as the city center are fully booked. The number of guests is expected to continue to increase in the coming days.
Mr. Hoang Quang Minh, a tourist from Da Nang, shared: "I drove to Da Lat on the second day of Tet. This city has a very pleasant and cool climate. My family will stay here for 2 days. I took the opportunity to take my wife and children to visit famous places. Among them, the longest stop was the colorful flower gardens."
According to statistics from the Economic Department of Da Lat City, to serve tourists during Tet, many businesses and households have expanded their flower growing area to more than 800 hectares, with an expected output of more than 200 million branches.
The main types of flowers include lilies, roses, carnations, gladiolus... In particular, many people and businesses are also experimenting with growing new flower varieties to serve the Tet market.
Mr. Tran Thanh Hoai, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province, said that from January 25 to 30, the total number of visitors to Lam Dong for sightseeing and vacation is estimated at 220,000.
It is expected that from January 25 to February 2 (the 5th day of Tet), the number of visitors will reach 380,000 (an increase of 35.7% compared to last year). The number of overnight guests is estimated to reach 270,000 (an increase of 68.8% compared to last year).
3 to 5 star hotels are operating at 75 to 85% capacity, some large hotels are operating at full capacity.
Da Lat City People's Committee has been organizing many programs during the Lunar New Year to attract tourists.
These include the 2025 Spring Flower Festival (taking place from January 24 to February 7) at the City Flower Garden; the At Ty Spring Festival "Vietnamese Spring - Vietnamese Tet" (taking place from January 27 to February 6) at Tran Quoc Toan Park with 150 booths.
Art performance program serving people and tourists from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (from January 31 to February 2).
Localities bordering the city have assigned Traffic Police to strengthen control to ensure security and order, and traffic flow, thereby helping people enjoy the Spring Festival with peace of mind.
