Accordingly, the leaders of Binh Dinh province assigned the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to coordinate with the Department of Planning and Investment and localities to inspect, review, and propose financial support to repair vulnerable reservoirs and dykes in the area to ensure safety during the flood season.
At the same time, coordinate with the Department of Finance to consider and propose support for equipment such as life jackets, life buoys, tents, sandbags, etc. for units and localities to effectively carry out natural disaster prevention work during the 2024 flood season; support the construction of community flood shelters in 2 key low-lying communes;
Assign the Department of Transport to coordinate with the Provincial Traffic Project Management Board and localities to inspect and carry out water flow clearance at bridge and culvert locations and ongoing projects to ensure flood drainage and prevent sedimentation and water erosion;
Assign the Provincial and local Project Management Boards to direct relevant units to implement the work of clearing the flow at bridges, culverts, rivers, streams, drainage axes, and construction areas of projects.
In particular, clear the flow along the projects: Coastal route Diem Van - Cat Tien section, the section from Dien Bien Phu street extended to Diem Van urban area; Upgrading DT.640 - Cat Tien route; DT.633 bypass route (section from Nui Ghenh to the coastal road DT.639)... to ensure drainage, avoid flooding during the rainy and flood season in 2024.
Coastal districts, towns and cities strengthen the management of vessels; when natural disasters occur, organize vessel counting and instruct and call on captains to move vessels to safe areas; strictly implement the ban on sea when directed by superiors. Make statistics of aquaculture cages in the management area to have a plan to ensure safety during rain, storms, etc.
