On the afternoon of February 6, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force (Dak Lak Provincial Police) continued to extinguish and handle the fire at the warehouse on the Western bypass (Thanh Nhat ward, Buon Ma Thuot city).
At around 3:30 p.m. the same day, a fire broke out in a warehouse storing electronics and refrigeration equipment. A police officer from Thanh Nhat Ward passing by discovered the fire and immediately rushed in with the locals to put out the fire.
However, because there were many flammable items inside, the fire quickly spread. The ward police and local residents shouted and knocked on the doors to warn neighboring households. Thanks to that, the mother and child living in the house next door were able to escape safely.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department mobilized vehicles and dozens of officers to the scene to carry out rescue work.
The fire broke out near a garage’s storage facility. Fortunately, authorities were able to contain it in time, preventing it from spreading to the warehouse.
"The fire has now been extinguished. The fire only caused property damage, no casualties," said the leader of Thanh Nhat Ward People's Committee.
