This morning (January 13), people in Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces and cities felt the cold weather when going out. Many people had to wear coats and gloves to keep their bodies warm.
At nearly 8am this morning, in the central area of Ho Chi Minh City, the weather application on the phone showed 21 degrees Celsius. The weather was still chilly in the evening, the lowest temperature reached 20 - 21 degrees Celsius.
"For the past 1-2 days, when I go to work in the morning, I feel quite cold. The cool weather makes me feel quite comfortable, feeling like Tet is coming soon" - Ms. Phuong Thao (living in District 12) shared.
Data measured by the Southern Hydrometeorological Station shows that this morning, many places in the South have seen a sharp drop in temperature.
In Ta Lai (Dong Nai) 16 degrees Celsius, Phuoc Long (Binh Phuoc) 16.5 degrees Celsius, Long Khanh (Dong Nai) 16.8 degrees Celsius, Tay Ninh 17.5 degrees Celsius, Tri An (Dong Nai) 18 degrees Celsius, Bien Hoa (Dong Nai) 18.2 degrees Celsius.
The lowest temperatures in the Western provinces are in Cao Lanh (Dong Thap) at 17.6 degrees Celsius, Moc Hoa (Long An) at 17.8 degrees Celsius, and Chau Doc (An Giang) at 18.5 degrees Celsius.
According to the Southern Hydrometeorological Station, the continental cold high pressure continues to weaken slowly. Above, the subtropical high pressure over the South Central region is operating at a stable intensity. The northeast wind is strong over the eastern sea.
Therefore, the weather in Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces and cities has decreased humidity and air quality. The cold weather at night and early morning can affect human health.
