From the night of November 17, the weather will turn cold, some places will be very cold; Mau Son highlands will experience severe cold.
The common temperature is 10-13 degrees Celsius, while Mau Son drops to 5-7 degrees Celsius.
Also according to Lao Dong reporter, on the morning of November 18, in Lang Son, light rain with cold air covered the province.
In a quick exchange with Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, Mr. Hoang Quoc Huy - Head of Mau Son Hydrometeorological Station (Lang Son) said that the cold air has strengthened and swept down to the North, causing the weather to turn cold with light rain. Currently, the temperature measured at Mau Son is 12.8 degrees Celsius.
In Lao Cai, the temperature measured in Sa Pa is 16 degrees Celsius, the lowest temperature of the day can drop to 8 degrees Celsius.
In Moc Chau, Son La, the current temperature ranges from 14 - 16 degrees Celsius, the lowest temperature of the day can drop to 9 degrees Celsius.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on November 18, cold air will continue to affect other places in the North, North Central and some Central Central regions, then spread to the remaining provinces of the Central Central and South Central regions.
Due to the impact of the strengthening cold air, the North, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An will have rain, showers and thunderstorms in some places.
The weather in the North and North Central regions will turn cold; the mountainous and midland areas of the North will be very cold, the high mountainous areas will have severe cold; the Northern Delta will have some places with severe cold.

It is forecasted that on November 18-19, cold rain will continue, the highest temperature will not exceed 19 degrees Celsius; at night it will decrease to 14-15 degrees Celsius.
From November 20, the rain will decrease, the sun will appear again, and the weather will gradually warm up.
The meteorological agency warns that severe cold and prolonged rain can affect agricultural production; people need to proactively take measures to protect livestock and crops.
Experts say that this winter in the North is likely to be colder than in recent years, with many severe cold spells from the second half of December 2025 to February 2026; ice and snow may even appear in high mountains.
