Regarding the incident of foam and mud rising to the ground in Nui Truc alley (Hanoi) in the early morning of August 6, the Hanoi Urban Railway Management Board (MRB) has issued an official report.
Accordingly, at around 1:00 a.m. on August 6, in the area of Nui Truc alley, a mixture of mud and water overflowed onto the ground during the drilling of TBM tunnel No. 2 of Package CP03 - Constructing tunnels and underground stations of the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station metro project.
During the tunnel construction process, the project always arranged personnel on duty 24/7. That same night, when the phenomenon was discovered, the investor, consultants, contractors and local authorities were present at the scene to coordinate in directing and supervising the handling.
The project has urgently mobilized 30 personnel and 5 mud suction trucks, specialized equipment, sandbags and supplies, temporary fences to conduct zoning, collecting, treating mud, cleaning the area of the mud mixture, while closely monitoring all construction activities of the TBM...
By dawn of the same day, the mudflow had been controlled, the affected area continued to be cleaned, the area of enclosure narrowed and the site was returned.

According to initial assessments, the impact of the incident was small and is being controlled, no damage to people or works, or surrounding technical infrastructure was recorded.
Land monitoring work has been continuously deployed throughout the tunnel drilling process and is still within the permitted limit, ensuring safety. The second TBM of the Project has drilled 1,040m of tunnel and is currently continuing construction under the close supervision of consultants and investors.
MRB is committed to continuing to closely coordinate with consultants, contractors and local authorities to update geological conditions, adjust technical measures in a timely manner, ensure maximum safety during the construction process, and maintain the progress and quality of the project.
At the same time, MRB will maintain the provision of complete, transparent and timely information to people and relevant agencies throughout the implementation process.
