On May 10, the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee sent a document to the Government Office regarding wind power projects in the area.
Dak Nong province has 5 wind power projects under implementation, including: Nam Binh 1 Wind Power Plant Project has completed investment (total investment capital is about over 1,000 billion VND);
The three Dak N'Drung 1, 2, and 3 Wind Power Plant projects have invested VND 5,800 billion out of a total investment of VND 10,525 billion (reaching 55%);
The Asia Dak Song 1 Wind Power Plant project has not yet been implemented (total investment capital is about 1,693 billion VND).
It is expected that the 5 completed investment projects will contribute to the National grid of about 380MW.
At the same time, projects also pay the state budget about 200 billion VND/year from value added tax.
In the context of Dak Nong being a poor province with economic difficulties, the early completion and operation of wind power projects is very important in the socio-economic development of the locality.
Therefore, the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee proposed that the Government and the Prime Minister consider updating the projects in the Plan to implement the VIII Power Plan as proposed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, Dak Nong province's wind power projects are stuck due to overlapping planning between energy projects and mineral planning areas.
Specifically, wind power projects are included in the power plan approved by the Government in June 2020.
At the same time, these projects are also in the bauxite planning area for the period 2021 - 2025 approved by the Government in July 2023.
