On the afternoon of August 6, Vinh Xuan Border Guard Station (Hue City Border Guard) coordinated with functional forces and people to successfully extinguish a forest fire in Phu Vinh commune.
According to initial information, at around 12:00 on the same day, a fire broke out at lot 93, compartment 1, sub-compartment 99, in the cajuput forest area managed by the family of Mr. Nguyen Ro (born in 1973, residing in village 6, Phu Vinh commune, Hue city - formerly village 6, Vinh Thanh commune, Phu Vang district).
Immediately after receiving the report, Vinh Xuan Border Guard Station urgently mobilized 11 officers and mobile soldiers to the scene, coordinating with the Southern Huong River Forest Protection Force, local authorities and people to participate in extinguishing the fire.
Thanks to close coordination, the forces quickly contained the area, controlled and completely extinguished the fire at 1:00 p.m. the same day. The fire burned down about 0.7 hectares of cajuput forest, mainly the forest canopy.
The cause of the fire is currently being investigated and clarified by the authorities.
