On May 18, information from the Fire and Rescue Police Department, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police said that functional forces had just successfully rescued 2 female tourists trapped at a rocky beach in Sam Son beach.

Previously, at about 2 pm on the same day, the Sam Son sea rescue and first aid team coordinated with functional forces to promptly rescue 2 female tourists trapped in the rocky outcrop area behind Doc Cuoc Temple, in Sam Son ward, Thanh Hoa province.
The two tourists were identified as Ms. N.T. T. (born 1994) and Ms. T.T. H. (born 1984), both residing in Hac Thanh ward, Thanh Hoa province. Previously, the two went to Sam Son beach to visit and take photos at the Truong Le mountain peak area.
While taking pictures, due to not paying attention to the rapid rising tide, both were isolated by seawater and could not move ashore.
After receiving the news, rescue forces quickly approached the victims' locations and brought them ashore safely.
