At around 11:20 a.m. on March 23, a fire broke out at the end of Nguyen An Ninh Street (a land in the old Paradise Tourist Area, Nguyen An Ninh Ward), Vung Tau City. Because this was an empty area and near the sea, with many winds, the fire quickly flared up, creating black smoke covering a corner of the sky.
Seeing the fire, nearby people quickly reported it to the authorities. The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police of the Provincial Police quickly mobilized vehicles, officers and soldiers to the scene to control the fire.

After about 25 minutes, the fire was controlled and completely extinguished. The authorities sprayed water to prevent the fire from returning, as well as verify the cause of the fire.
Previously, on March 13, a large fire broke out in Vung Tau in the late afternoon, in an empty area in Ward 10, Vung Tau City, and was quickly controlled and extinguished by the authorities. Initially, the cause of the fire was suspected to be due to the fire spreading when burning garbage.
