On the morning of November 2, Lam Dong province directed military and police forces to coordinate with localities to support people in responding to and overcoming the consequences of floods in village 2, Tuy Phong commune.
According to the report, at 10:00 p.m. on November 1, due to prolonged heavy rain, Phan Dung and Song Long Song lakes were overflowing, water pushed strongly downstream, causing flooding in hamlets 2 and 3, affecting about 40 households.

Notably, a reservoir for farming of Viet Phong Phu Farm Company on a high hill broke its embankment, causing the amount of water to suddenly pour in, causing local people and authorities to be passive.
That same night, the military and police forces of the province coordinated with local forces to urgently evacuate people to a safe place and arrange temporary accommodation at the headquarters of Tuy Phong Commune People's Committee.
While the flood came, 3 people in village 2 were swept away. Among them, Mr. Bui Van Khanh (52 years old) and 1 other person were rescued, while T was missing. At around 5:30 a.m. on November 2, T's body was found 200m from where it was swept away.

By noon on November 2, the water in village 2 had receded. The military continues to coordinate with departments, branches, unions and people to clean up mud, disinfect the environment, prioritize cleaning schools, health stations and residential areas.
The army and the people will strive to overcome the consequences, helping people soon stabilize their lives.
According to the Lam Dong Provincial Civil Defense Command, this flood is the most serious in more than 30 years in the Southeast region of the province.
The Provincial Military Command, the Provincial Police and many forces maintain 24/7 duty, ready to mobilize forces and vehicles to vulnerable locations to respond promptly and limit damage.
Lam Dong province has also directed the establishment of 6 working groups to investigate the cause of the lake breach, and at the same time count the damage and overcome the consequences of flash floods.
