According to a clip shared on social media, the woman who is the bride's mother said: "When the wedding is over, my parents will give me another 600 hectares of land (60 hectares), if I sell it now it will be worth 90 billion VND...".
The clip quickly attracted the attention of the online community, causing a stir in public opinion about the value of this family's assets as well as the declaration of assets in the locality.
According to the reporter's investigation, the bride's parents in the clip are Mr. Bui Van Men and his wife - Vice Chairman of Giang Thanh District People's Committee. The woman is Mrs. T.T.K.L. (Mr. Men's wife).
According to the family, Mrs. L has been sick for many years, sometimes forgetting what she said. On the day of her daughter's engagement, she promised to give her daughter 60 hectares of farmland.
