On March 9, according to Lao Dong, the People's Committee of Lang Son province officially approved the contractor selection plan for the Provincial Sports Complex project, including two important items: Central Stadium and Multi-purpose Gymnasium.
The total value of the project packages is up to 365 billion VND, using public investment capital from the central and local budgets.
Among the project packages, there are a number of large-scale and important packages that play a key role in the implementation of sports infrastructure in Lang Son such as package No. 15 for the construction and installation of multi-purpose gymnasium equipment worth 121 billion VND; Package No. 16 for EC mixed-use package (geological survey, construction drawing design, total estimate, construction and installation of equipment for auxiliary works) with a total package value of 232 billion VND.
The packages are implemented in two main forms including concise bidding design, applied to items to ensure quick progress such as monitoring of packages, reviewing drawings. The widespread domestic online bidding form applies to large-scale items, promoting transparency such as the construction of the Multi-purpose Gymnasium, infrastructure construction.
Previously, as Lao Dong reported, the People's Committee of Lang Son province issued a decision approving the feasibility study report on investment in the construction of the Lang Son Provincial Sports Complex.
The project includes a central stadium and a multi-purpose gymnasium.
The project is invested in construction with a scale of 29 hectares to carry out the construction of 11 main works, including a multi-purpose gymnasium, athletes' housing and dining blocks, halls, outdoor sports fields...
In particular, the multi-purpose gymnasium is designed with a capacity of 3,000 fixed seats and 1,000 mobile seats for competitions and training in sports such as basketball, volleyball, badminton, tennis, futsal, table tennis, and martial arts.
The project implementation location is expected to be in Mai Pha commune, Lang Son city.
The total investment of the project is 500 billion VND, invested by the Lang Son Provincial Construction Management Board.
According to the People's Committee of Lang Son province, the Lang Son City Sports Complex is a complex of works to meet the development requirements of the province and Lang Son city in the coming time.
At the same time, create an architectural highlight, meet the criteria for a sports facility of a type I urban area, strive to build Lang Son city into a central urban area of the Northeast region, a place to organize sports activities at the provincial and regional levels, exchange and development between Vietnam and China and between ASEAN countries and China.
Currently, Lang Son province has Dong Kinh Stadium (Dong Kinh ward, Lang Son city) in operation. This stadium is also a place where sports and cultural events of the border province are regularly held.
It is known that after the 500 billion VND stadium complex is completed, Dong Kinh Stadium will be converted into a park and flower garden.
