Long An leaders visit Japan to promote investment and labor

Long An - The investment and labor promotion delegation visited and worked with Yumoto Electric Group, met with businesses to explore investment opportunities in Long An.

On October 9, in Osaka city (Japan), the Long An province investment and labor promotion delegation led by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Long An province - visited and worked with Yumoto Electric Group.

At the meeting, Mr. Yumoto Hidetsu - General Director of Yumoto Electric Corporation - said that over 80 years since its establishment in 1940, the company is proud to have supported manufacturing in Japan as a member of the supporting industry. Currently, the headquarters and factory in Higashinari district, Osaka, Japan have 73 employees. Revenue in 2023 reached 1.1 billion Japanese yen (about 220 billion VND), currently there are 11 Vietnamese people working at the headquarters in Japan.

Currently, Yomoto Vietnam has been operating in Tan Kim Industrial Park (Can Giuoc district, Long An province) since 2018, contributing greatly to the development of human resources and contributing to Vietnam and especially Long An province in recent times.

Yumoto Group believes that Long An province can become the center of the supporting industrial machinery parts manufacturing industry in the South and wishes to expand its production plant in the near future in Can Giuoc district. Continue to coordinate with universities and colleges in the southern provinces, in which priority is given to students and students trained in Long An province with high skills to go to Japan to work.

On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Pham Tan Hoa - Vice Chairman of Long An Provincial People's Committee - sincerely thanked the leaders of Yumoto Electric Group and its members for arranging time to receive the delegation of Long An province to visit and learn about the production activities, working environment, specific jobs of employees working at Yumoto Electric Group as well as discuss issues of mutual interest to both sides regarding the need for labor recruitment in the manufacturing sector.

Long An province hopes that after this visit, Yumoto Electric Corporation, through Osaka provincial agencies, Yumoto Vietnam Company, and related units of Long An province, will promote many activities and programs to deploy the recruitment of Long An province's laborers in the coming time. Contribute to providing more high-quality human resources of Long An province through the training coordination of Yumoto Vietnam and create the best conditions for Yumoto Vietnam Company to expand production in Can Giuoc district in the coming time.

On the same afternoon, the delegation visited the Consulate General of Vietnam in Osaka. At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Long An Provincial Party Committee - provided basic information on the province's investment attraction situation for Japanese enterprises in Long An. The leaders of Long An province also expressed their gratitude to Consul General Ngo Trinh Ha, Vietnamese diplomatic representative agencies in Japan, including the valuable support of the Consulate General of Japan in Osaka. Mr. Hai said that Long An province always respects and is ready to welcome and create favorable conditions for Japanese investors.

In particular, the meeting was attended by the President of the Vietnam Friendship Association of Kansai Region (Japan) and Japanese enterprises participating in exploring investment opportunities in attracting high-quality labor in the field of information technology from Long An province to Japan in the near future.
