On February 6, information from the Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee office stated that to streamline the apparatus, Lao Cai province ended the operations of 9 Steering Committees.
Accordingly, the Standing Committee of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee decided to end the operation of the Steering Committee for the development of agricultural commodity production in Lao Cai province to 2030, with a vision to 2050, from January 20, 2025.
The Party Committee of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee directs relevant departments and branches to advise on the effective implementation of the Resolution of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on the Strategy for developing agricultural commodities in Lao Cai province to 2030, with a vision to 2050 according to regulations, ensuring regularity, continuity, and uninterrupted implementation.
In addition, the Standing Committee of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee decided to end the activities of 8 Steering Committees, including: Steering Committee for Judicial Reform of Lao Cai province for the period of 2020 - 2025; Steering Committee for coordinating mass mobilization activities of Lao Cai province; Steering Committee for implementing Conclusion No. 61-KL/TW of the Secretariat of the Lao Cai Provincial Party Central Committee; Steering Committee for the campaign for Vietnamese people to prioritize using Vietnamese goods; Steering Committee for building Party and mass organizations in private economic units; Steering Committee for external information work of Lao Cai province; Steering Committee for religious work of Lao Cai province; Steering Committee for democracy work of Lao Cai province.
Standing agencies and units with members participating in the above 8 Steering Committees shall proactively supplement or advise on supplementing the tasks and functions of each agency and unit after the Steering Committees have finished their activities to implement tasks regularly, continuously, and without interruption.
The termination of the activities of the Steering Committees of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee aims to implement the regulations and conclusions of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on the arrangement and streamlining of the political system's apparatus.
