Upon verification, the truck driving in the wrong direction on National Highway 1 with license plate 61H-015.34 was registered to Mr. P.T.C, residing in Tan Uyen district, Binh Duong province. The driver of the truck driving in the wrong direction on National Highway 1 recorded in the clip was identified as Do Minh Kha (30 years old), residing in Nam Ngan hamlet, Tan Ninh commune, Tan Thanh district, Long An province.
On October 19, the Traffic Police Department invited the vehicle driver to come to work.
Mr. Kha stated that at 7:15 a.m. on October 18, he was the one who directly drove the truck traveling from Tien Giang to Ho Chi Minh City. On the way, when reaching Km 1925, National Highway 1 (in Hamlet 5, My Yen Commune, Ben Luc District, Long An Province), he drove the truck in the opposite direction for a while.
The Traffic Police Department of Long An Province Police has drawn up a record of administrative violations in the field of road traffic against Mr. Do Minh Kha for the violation of driving a truck in the wrong direction.
According to the penalty for Mr. Kha's violation, the penalty is from 4,000,000 VND to 6,000,000 VND; in addition, his driving license will be revoked for 2 to 4 months.
