Lam Dong is installing 10 specialized rain gauge stations to serve natural disaster prevention work in the area.

On September 29, information from Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee said that Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Ngoc Phuc has just signed a document (No. 8158/UBND-GT) on the implementation of receiving and installing specialized automatic rain gauge equipment in the province.

Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (the standing agency of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Control and Search and Rescue) to carry out related tasks.

In particular, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development proactively contacted and coordinated with the Community Fund for Natural Disaster Prevention to implement the reception and installation of 10 automatic rain gauge stations specialized in natural disaster prevention. These devices were sponsored by the Community Fund for Natural Disaster Prevention.

In addition, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development presides over and coordinates with the Lam Dong Provincial Hydrometeorological Station to review locations for installing rain gauge stations in accordance with local conditions and actual requirements.

Priority is given to installing equipment at commune People's Committees, village headquarters, schools... where there is electricity and mobile signal to facilitate receiving and transmitting data to the processing center.

Thereby, implementing automatic rain gauge management after the supplier completes the installation, handover and system operation instructions.

On the other hand, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Lam Dong province presides over and coordinates with the Department of Finance to advise and propose the Provincial People's Committee to consider and arrange funding to operate and maintain 10 specialized automatic rain gauge stations according to regulations immediately after handing them over to the province for management and use.
