Afternoon of August 7, the Management Board of Urban Railway Project in Hanoi officially announced that from 8:00 AM on August 8, 2024, the elevated section from Nhổn to S8 Station, 8.5km long, belonging to Line 3, Nhổn - Hanoi Station, will officially operate commercially to serve passengers.
The elevated section from Nhổn to Cau Giay, including 8 stations: Nhổn (S1); Minh Khai (S2); Phu Dien (S3); Cau Dien (S4); Le Duc Tho (S5); National University (S6); Chua Ha (S7); Cau Giay (S8).
Within the first 3 months, the following schedule will be implemented: Opening time: 5:30 AM; Closing time: 10:00 PM; Interval between trains: 10 minutes per trip. On the first day of operation, it will start from 8:00 AM.
In the following period, the schedule will be adjusted according to passenger demand to best meet the travel needs of passengers on the line.
Regarding ticket prices: Single trip ticket (one-way ticket): 8,000 VND to travel to one station and 12,000 VND for a one-way ticket to travel the entire line. Daily ticket: 24,000 VND, valid for one day and without any limit on the number of trips.
Monthly ticket (general, priority): General: 200,000 VND per month; Priority for students and students: 100,000 VND per month. Group ticket: 140,000 VND per month.
The implementation of the free ticket policy for priority groups according to the Resolution 07/2019/NQ-HĐND dated July 10, 2019, of the Hanoi People's Council (free for children under 6 years old, people with meritorious services, people over 60 years old, people with disabilities) will be carried out.
Notably, within the first 15 days of commercial operation, all passengers will be served free of charge according to the Resolution of the Hanoi People's Council.
The Nhổn - Hanoi Station urban railway line is a radial line, running from the outskirts of the capital into the inner city, when put into operation, it will help reduce traffic pressure, congestion, and pressure on buses on the same route.
The plan to increase connectivity and transfer of passengers by bus has also been completed by the Hanoi Traffic Management and Operation Center.
According to that, along the Nhổn - Hanoi Station urban railway line, there are 36 bus routes in operation. Among them, 33 are subsidized and 3 are not; 2 passenger transfer points at Cau Giay and Nhổn; 32 bus stops (16 stops from Cau Giay to Nhổn and 16 stops from Nhổn to Cau Giay).
