On March 16, the Dong Nai Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board said that the project to upgrade and expand DT 773 road passing through Xuan Loc, Cam My, and Long Thanh districts, nearly 40km long, is expected to complete the approval of the feasibility study report in 2025.
The project to upgrade and expand DT 773 route has a total length of 39km, starting point intersecting with National Highway 1 (Km1789+300) in Xuan Tam commune, Xuan Loc district, ending point of the route to Huong Lo 10 intersecting with Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4.
The project has a total investment of about 4,311 billion VND, of which the construction cost is about 1,927 billion VND from the provincial budget.
The implementation period is 2022-2027.
Up to now, the project has completed the appraisal work at the Department of Construction Investment Management - Ministry of Transport (now Ministry of Construction) and has submitted a document to the Department of Planning and Investment (now Department of Finance) for consideration and submission to the Provincial People's Committee for approval of the project.
In April 2025, the Dong Nai Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board contacted the People's Committee of Cam My District to adjust the route in accordance with the general construction planning of Long Giao Town, Cam My District to ensure the conditions for project approval.
The Dong Nai Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board also plans to complete the approval of the feasibility study report in 2025 as a basis for implementing the next steps.
The project to upgrade and expand DT 773 route helps connect and shorten travel time from Cam My, Xuan Loc, Long Thanh districts as well as the provinces of the Central Highlands and South Central regions to Long Thanh airport. Quadrangle connection of Bien Hoa - Long Thanh - Trang Bom - Nhon Trach industrial parks to meet traffic and transportation needs, reduce traffic volume for National Highway 1 contributes to the economic and social development of districts with the route in particular and the entire Dong Nai province, the key economic region in the South in general.
Currently, Dong Nai province is investing in expanding 3 projects including: DT 769 road, DT 770B and DT 773 with a total investment of more than VND 18,000 billion to connect Long Thanh airport.
