On the morning of November 29, the authorities are continuing to search for the two missing fishermen in the boat sinking in Cong Hai commune.
Yesterday afternoon (November 28), the body of victim Nguyen Thach Trung (born in 1992, residing in residential group 6, Dong Hai ward, Khanh Hoa) was found drifting ashore. Thus, there are still 2 missing fishermen.
Forces are expanding the search area around the sunken ship area, checking neighboring waters and implementing many professional measures to increase the ability to detect the victims.
Rescue work is maintained continuously in complex weather conditions at sea.
On the afternoon of November 28, the Binh Tien Working Group (Vinh Hai Border Guard Station, Khanh Hoa Border Guard) received a report of a serious ship sinking in the Binh Tien beach area, Cong Hai commune, about 300m from shore.
As soon as the information was received, the unit promptly verified and deployed rescue forces.
According to initial verification, at around 7:30 p.m. on November 27, fishing boat NT 90329 TS, captained by Mr. Nguyen Van Trung (born in 1976, residing in residential group 28, Dong Hai ward, Khanh Hoa) and 4 fishermen practicing fishing on the net, were on their way to shore to avoid the storm.
When arriving at Binh Tien sea area, the ship suddenly encountered big waves, strong winds and sank, only about 300m from shore. Immediately after the incident, the two fishermen swam to shore safely, while three people were still missing.
Upon receiving the news, Vinh Hai Border Guard Station mobilized a high-speed canoe with 6 officers and soldiers to approach the scene.
