At noon on November 29, a drowning incident occurred on the beach along the resorts in Ham Tien ward (Lam Dong province), causing the death of a Russian tourist.
A motorbike service owner in the area said that at that time, he and the rescue team discovered 3 tourists swimming away by waves.
Rescue workers immediately swam out and pulled the two Vietnamese tourists to shore safely. The other person was swept away by the flow. The service owner pushed the motorbike into the sea and ran out to approach it, but when it was close, the victim sank.

The victim was pulled ashore, given first aid and taken to the ambulance to the hospital but did not survive. The victim was identified as Mr. C.A (born in 1965, Russian nationality).
At the time of the incident, the victim's wife was also present at the beach and took the car to the hospital. It is known that Mr. C.A's family is staying in Mui Ne ward during a trip with his wife and children.
The incident has been reported to the police. The victim's body is currently being preserved to carry out investigation procedures according to regulations for foreigners.

According to the records, at the time of the accident, it was not sunny and the waves were not large. However, the beach service businessman said that the impact of storm No. 15 caused the water flow to be very strong, easily carrying tourists away even though the water surface was quite calm.
When seeing tourists swimming far away, beach traders and rescue forces blew the whistle and signaled a warning. However, many tourists have ignored it, even showing unpleasant attitudes when reminded.
