    A Quang Nam fisherman went missing while fishing for squid in Hoang Sa fishing village.

    On February 27, Mr. Nguyen Tan Hung - Chairman of the People's Committee of Tam Hai commune, Nui Thanh district, Quang Nam province - confirmed that a local fisherman had gone missing while fishing in the Hoang Sa sea area.

    According to Mr. Hung, at 3:00 a.m. the same day, the squid fishing boat QNa 90859 TS, owned by fisherman Huynh Van Tri (46 years old, residing in Tam Giang commune, Nui Thanh district), docked at Tam Quang wharf. Here, the ship owner reported to the authorities that crew member Pham Quoc C. (46 years old, residing in Tam Hai commune) unfortunately went missing while fishing on a basket boat in the Hoang Sa sea of Vietnam.

    The authorities are collecting information and statements from the crew members on the squid fishing boat QNa 90859 TS to serve the investigation process; at the same time, organizing information for the boat operating near the sea where fisherman C. is missing for searching.
