On December 9, Hanoi City Police (CATP) held a conference to discuss the progress of implementing Plan No. 375 dated October 31, 2025 on a peak of 60 days and nights of general review and cleaning of vehicle registration and driver's license data in the city.
According to statistics from Hanoi City Police, as of 8:00 a.m. on December 7, the whole city had collected 3,305,934 vehicles declared by citizens on the iHanoi application.
Regarding the work of document confirmation, the Ward and Commune Police have confirmed 1,697,451 vehicles; an increase of 564,974 vehicles compared to last week.
Regarding the work of reviewing, comparing, and updating additional driver's license data, as of 9:00 a.m. on December 7, 126/126 of the Commune-level Police have completed the comparison of vehicle driver information provided by the Traffic Police Department - Ministry of Public Security with the National Population Database in the locality, reaching a rate of 95% to 100% out of a total of 130,359 cases of data that need cleaning.
At the same time, the application system "Digital Capital Citizen - iHanoi" recorded 701,022 visits to scan the issued driver's license.
The results of issuing and exchanging driving licenses (paper covers) to PET cards from November 24 to December 6 reached 13,538 cases.
At the Conference, representatives of the Police Commands of wards and communes frankly reported on the implementation progress at their units, many units self-assessed and acknowledged that the implementation in their localities was still slow compared to general requirements. On that basis, the units committed to urgently reviewing all outstanding work volumes and adjusting working methods to ensure progress in the remaining days of the peak period.
In addition to units that are still behind schedule, many effective models and methods were also shared at the Conference. Some units maintain daily reviewing, comparing and updating data, promptly adjusting arising issues, thereby helping the progress to be significantly accelerated.
Concluding the Conference, Major General Nguyen Hong Ky - Deputy Director of CATP praised units with proactive, creative approaches, achieving high results; at the same time, requested units that have not yet ensured targets to urgently and seriously rectify shortcomings and limitations, and have specific solutions to ensure completion progress in the coming time.
The Deputy Director of CATP emphasized that the results of the withdrawal period will determine the overall success of the entire peak period, and at the same time, it is a measure of the assessment of the sense of responsibility, leadership capacity and effectiveness in performing tasks of each unit commander, each officer and soldier.
Units must promote the highest sense of responsibility, mobilize maximum forces and means, and focus on the goal of completing the cleaning of vehicle data and driving licenses on time.
Along with that, CATP functional departments are responsible for closely monitoring the progress every day, promptly detecting technical "bottlenecks" to proactively advise and remove them right from the grassroots; at the same time, strengthening inspection, supervision, and clarification of responsibilities for units for being behind schedule and lacking determination in organizing implementation.
In addition to the task of reviewing and cleaning data, Major General Nguyen Hong Ky requested the unit to promote propaganda work in a direct, easy-to-understand, and easy-to-do direction; increase staff to support people to operate on the iHanoi application, especially the elderly and those with limited access to technology.
