Phu Dong Commune Party Committee (Hanoi) has organized a meeting of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee with the Secretary of the branch, grassroots Party Committee, and village Party Committee in the second quarter of 2026.
Implementing the policy of streamlining the apparatus, improving the operational efficiency of the residential community and meeting management requirements in the new period, Phu Dong Commune People's Committee has developed a Project to arrange villages in the commune.
According to the Project, it is expected to arrange 44 villages to form 19 new villages; keep 12 stable villages, meeting the conditions according to regulations.
After arrangement, the whole commune will have 31 villages (a reduction of 25 villages).
According to Phu Dong commune, the arrangement aims to streamline the organization, improve the operational efficiency of the political system at the grassroots level, promote the cultural, historical, customary values of each locality; create favorable conditions in state management, digital transformation and serving the People.
Phu Dong Commune People's Committee emphasized that the village arrangement does not change the administrative boundaries of the commune level, and does not affect the legitimate rights and interests of the people.
Phu Dong Commune People's Committee will organize to collect opinions from voters representing households in directly affected villages to complete the Project in accordance with the law.
In Tay Phuong commune, according to the expected plan, after the arrangement is implemented, the number of villages in the commune will decrease from 42 villages to 21 villages.
In which, it is expected to maintain some villages with stable population size and specific historical and cultural factors; and at the same time, implement the merger and renaming of the remaining villages in a direction suitable to the population size, geographical location, historical and cultural traditions and customs of each locality.
As for Hung Dao commune, according to the plan put forward for discussion, it is expected to arrange from 21 residential villages to 11 residential villages.
The arrangement aims to streamline the organization at the grassroots level, improve management efficiency, create favorable conditions for the operation and organization of activities of residential villages, and at the same time be consistent with the scale and development orientation of the locality.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Phuong - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Hung Dao commune proposed that relevant departments continue to review and complete the population village arrangement plan to ensure strictness, science, suitability with local practices and in accordance with regulations of superiors to implement the next steps according to the set roadmap.
