Kon Tum - The hail and thunderstorms swept through, causing 16 houses to have their roofs blown off.

On April 6, Mr. Nguyen Van Thuy - Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Na commune, Tu Mo Rong district said that a hailstorm with strong winds had just caused serious damage in the area.

Previously, on the afternoon of April 5, hail and whirlwinds swept through Dak Na commune, blown off the roofs of 16 houses and caused a house to completely collapse. Some other works were also damaged, with total estimated damage of about 200 million VND.

Immediately after the natural disaster occurred, the local government quickly directed the implementation of remedial work to support people to soon stabilize their lives.

The police force, the commune militia and the youth union have been mobilized to help people repair damaged houses.

Regarding the house with a roof collapsed in Mo Bang 1 village, the People's Committee of the commune said that it will coordinate with relevant departments and branches to assess the current situation and propose appropriate solutions.

Not only Dak Na commune was affected, hail and strong winds also caused damage in many other communes in Tu Mo Rong district.

Currently, functional forces are still actively supporting people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
