Localities are urgently supporting people to overcome the consequences, on duty 24/24 hours to respond to the risk of landslides and flash floods.
According to the Northern Hydrometeorological Station, in the past 12 hours (from 11 pm on May 16 to 11 am on May 17), Quang Ninh province experienced moderate to heavy rain, with very heavy rain in some places.
Many areas recorded heavy rainfall such as: Ha Long 212.2mm; Tall Green 174.8mm; Viet Hung 144.4mm; Bai Chay 124.8mm; Ba Che 110.4mm; Dong Trieu 102.0mm; Trang Vinh Lake 114.4mm; Quang Duc 128.0mm; Ho bulge 158.6mm (Hai Son commune).
Heavy rain caused localized flooding on many streets and roads in the province. Some areas of rice and crops of people were also affected.

Forecast for the next 6 hours, many communes and wards in the province will continue to have rain, with common rainfall from 40-70mm, in some places higher.
Functional agencies warn of the risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams in mountainous areas; landslides on slopes and land subsidence in many localities in the province. Disaster risk level due to flash floods and landslides is warned at level 1.
Currently, localities in the province are organizing 24/24 hour duty shifts, monitoring weather developments, reviewing areas at risk of landslides and flooding to warn people. At the same time, functional forces are supporting people to clear the flow, statistically assess damage to crops and property to have remedial plans.
