According to Lao Dong, on roads such as Vo Van Van, Vinh Loc B (formerly in Binh Chanh district)... the water was 30 - 50 cm deep, in some places it was more than the wheels.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Hanh (residing in Vinh Loc A) shared that this is not the first time this area has been flooded, but this time it is raining heavily during rush hour, making it extremely difficult to go home after work.
"Some sections were flooded, vehicles stalled, and weaves nearly 1 km on foot. I have lived here for many years, every year when the floodwaters come and go but I have not seen any improvement," said Ms. Hanh.
In the same situation, technology driver Tran Van Tin said that he had to cancel the trip because the road could not be moved.
"The newspaper app has customers nearby but seeing the road in front is deeply flooded, I have to turn back, waiting for the water to recede, customers also happily sympathize," Mr. Tin added.

By 7:40 p.m., many areas in Ho Chi Minh City were still experiencing unending rain.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on September 18, the weather in Ho Chi Minh City and the Southern provinces will be cloudy with intermittent sunshine. During the day, there will be rain, moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms, some places may have heavy to very heavy rain with rainfall exceeding 100 mm.
The meteorological agency also warns that thunderstorms may cause dangerous phenomena such as tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. People are advised to limit going out during thunderstorms, find safe shelter, stay away from large trees and items at risk of falling.
In particular, heavy rain in a short period of time can cause localized flooding in many areas, affecting visibility and traffic safety.
