Recorded in Quy Nhon Dong ward on the morning of November 18, many houses in areas 6, 7, 8 and 9 were partially flooded; internal traffic routes in neighborhoods 2 and 3 were also flooded, causing obstacles to travel.

The water level was from 0.5 to more than 1m, causing many difficulties for people's daily activities. Some households in low-lying, deeply flooded areas have proactively moved to safety.
On Dien Bien Phu Street (Quy Nhon Dong Ward), rising floodwaters caused the spillway to be deeply flooded. The authorities have put up warning ropes, arranged traffic police to be on duty, and instructed people not to cross the dangerous road.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Chau (born in 1945, area 6) said that on the night of November 17 and early morning of November 18, there was very heavy rain, causing floodwater to quickly flood into her house, flooding more than 1m.
"I was old and had difficulty moving, so my children took me to a high place. The children stayed to set up their belongings to avoid damage. Living in low-lying areas, it is very difficult to live in the rainy and stormy season," she shared.

On the same day, Mr. Tran Viet Quang - Chairman of the People's Committee of Quy Nhon Dong Ward - said that prolonged heavy rain has caused some residential areas to be partially flooded, affecting people's lives. From early morning, the locality assigned officers to inspect and send functional forces to set up checkpoints and put up ropes on deeply flooded roads to ensure safety.

The working group also visited each flooded area to propagate and mobilize people to evacuate people and move assets to a safe place. The ward has prepared canoes, small motorboats and life boats to be able to promptly access flooded areas when necessary.

In Tuy Phuoc commune, Mr. Tran Minh Quang - Chairman of the Commune People's Committee - said that the rising water of the Ha Thanh river has flooded some houses in Van Hoi 2 village. The affected households had proactively evacuated before. Some culverts in the commune are also flooded, and authorities have set up checkpoints at both ends to warn and prevent people from passing.
Currently, local authorities are counting the number of flooded houses and the level of property damage caused by the impact of this flood.

According to the forecast, from November 18 to the morning of November 20, the eastern area of Gia Lai province will continue to have moderate to heavy rain, some places have very heavy rain and thunderstorms, with common rainfall of 100-250mm, some places over 300mm.
