Water levels of hydropower reservoirs nationwide on June 9th

Water levels at most hydropower reservoirs across the country are still significantly lower than normal water levels.

According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 12:00 on June 9, in the Northwest region, Hoa Binh Lake had an upstream water level of 97.53m, 19.47m lower than the normal water level.

Son La Lake reached 196.53m, 18.47m lower; Lai Chau Lake was at 287.47m, 7.53m lower. Meanwhile, Huoi Quang Lake is close to reaching the normal level when the water level reached 369.16m, only about 0.84m lower.

In the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang Lake recorded a water level of 98.34m, 21.66m lower than the normal water level; Thac Ba Lake reached 49.61m, 8.39m lower.

In the North Central region, Trung Son Lake reached 156.38m, 3.62m lower than the normal water level; Ban Ve Lake reached 176.02m, nearly 24m lower. Khe Bo Lake is currently at 64.42m, only 0.58m away from the normal water level.

In the South Central Coast, the water level of the lakes continues to be low. A Vuong Lake reached 361.26m, 18.74m lower; Song Tranh 2 Lake reached 159.52m, 15.48m lower; Song Ba Ha Lake reached 102.81m, 2.19m lower.

The Central Highlands region recorded some reservoirs with water levels approaching the normal level, such as Se San 3A reaching 238.85m/239m, Dong Nai 4 reaching 475.37m/476m and Da Mi reaching 324.06m/325m. However, many large reservoirs still have significant distances such as Ialy lower than 18.21m, Pleyrong lower than 20.34m and Thuong Kon Tum lower than 15.02m.

In the Southeast region, Tri An Lake has a water level of 55.49m, 6.51m lower than the normal water level.

According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on June 9, the Northwest region, the north of Phu Tho and Tuyen Quang will have heavy to very heavy rain and thunderstorms; North Central region will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain.

Other places in the North have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms in the morning of June 9, then there will be light rain in some places.

The Southern region will be sunny during the day, with hot sun in some places; especially in the late afternoon and evening, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with locally heavy rain.
