According to updated data from the reservoir management and operation monitoring system at 10:30 am on August 3, Hoa Binh hydropower reservoir's upstream water level reached 101.17 m, 15.83 m lower than the normal water level. The inflow to the reservoir reached 3,873 m3/s, while the total discharge flow was 2,877 m3/s, all through the power plant.
Son La hydropower reservoir recorded a water level of 197.47 m, 17.53 m lower than the normal water level. Water flow to the reservoir reached 2,875 m3/s, total discharge volume 3,279 m3/s, all through the plant.
At Lai Chau reservoir, the water level reached 288.65 m, 6.35 m lower than the normal water level. The water flow to the reservoir is at 1,720 m3/s, the total discharge is 1,541 m3/s.
In the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang reservoir has a water level of 106.13 m, 13.87 m lower than the normal water level. Water flow to the reservoir reached 900 m3/s, total discharge volume 1,229.8 m3/s, of which 495 m3/s through the spillway and 734.8 m3/s through the plant. The reservoir currently opens 1 deep discharge gate.
Meanwhile, Thac Ba Lake maintains a water level of 52.9 m, 5.1 m lower than the normal water level. Water flow to the lake reaches 465 m3/s, total discharge is 176.57 m3/s, all through the power plant.
