According to updated data from the reservoir operation monitoring and management system at 11:00 AM on August 6, in the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang reservoir has an upstream water level of 106.36 m, lower than the normal water level by 13.64 m.
The water flow to the reservoir reached 1,232 m3/s, while the total discharge volume was 1,229.03 m3/s, including 497 m3/s through the spillway and 732.03 m3/s through the plant. Currently, the reservoir is operating 1 deep discharge gate, not opening the surface discharge gate.
In the Northwest region, Hoa Binh reservoir recorded an upstream water level of 103.11 m, lower than the normal water level by 13.89 m. Inflow to the reservoir reached 4,551 m3/s, the highest in the group of hydropower reservoirs in the Northern region. Total discharge reached 2,776 m3/s, all through power generating units, not discharged through spillways.
Son La Lake reached a water level of 197.29 m, nearly 18 m lower than the normal water level. The water flow to the lake reached 3,268 m3/s, while the total discharge volume was 3,281 m3/s, all through the power plant.
Lai Chau Lake has a water level of 291.58 m, still 3.42 m away from the normal water level. Water flow to the lake reached 2,226 m3/s, total discharge volume 1,508 m3/s, all through the plant.
For upstream terraced reservoirs, Ban Chat reservoir reached a water level of 471.35 m, water inflow to the reservoir 191 m3/s, total discharge volume 157 m3/s.
Huo Huoi Quang Lake recorded a water level of 368.23 m, only 0.23 m higher than the dead water level; water inflow to the lake reached 241 m3/s, total discharge volume 236 m3/s, all operating for power generation, not discharging through the spillway dam.
Meanwhile, Thac Ba Lake has an upstream water level of 53.66 m, water inflow to the lake reaches 825 m3/s, total discharge volume 450.22 m3/s, all through the power plant.
