Most hydropower reservoirs in the Central - Central Highlands are lower than the normal water level, and power plants maintain operation and generate electricity to serve the needs of the power system.

According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 3:00 PM on June 9, in the North Central region, Trung Son Lake had a water level of 156.61m, 3.39m lower than the normal water level. Ban Ve Lake reached 176.04m, 23.96m lower.

Meanwhile, Khe Bo reservoir reached 64.28m, only 0.72m lower than the normal water level and is generating electricity with a discharge flow of 217.5m3/s.

Quang Tri Lake recorded a water level of 465.67m, 14.33m lower than the normal water level. The plant is generating electricity with a discharge flow of 19m3/s.

In the South Central Coast, A Vuong Lake is at 361.21m, 18.79m lower than the normal water level; Song Tranh 2 Lake reaches 159.54m, 15.46m lower. Song Ba Ha Lake has a water level of 102.81m, about 2.2m lower than the normal water level.

Reservoirs in the Vinh Son - Song Hinh system continue to maintain relatively stable water levels. Vinh Son A reservoir reached 769.01m; Vinh Son B reached 819.59m; Vinh Son C reached 972.82m. Song Hinh reservoir is at 204.32m, 4.68m lower than the normal water level.

In the Central Highlands, Se San 3 reservoir reached 303.44m, only 1.06m lower than the normal water level; Se San 3A reservoir reached 238.85m, 0.15m lower. Dong Nai 4 reservoir reached 475.43m, approaching the normal water level of 476m.

Meanwhile, many lakes are still significantly lower than the design threshold such as Thuong Kon Tum (1144.98/1160m), Pleikrông (549.64/570m), Ialy (496.81/515m), Buon Tua Srah (472.78/487.5m), Dong Nai 3 (572.95/590m) and Ham Thuan (583.57/605m).

According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on June 9, the Northwest region, the north of Phu Tho and Tuyen Quang will have heavy to very heavy rain and thunderstorms; North Central region will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain.

The Southern region will be sunny during the day, with hot sun in some places; especially in the late afternoon and evening, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with locally heavy rain.
