Bac Ha district is about 70km from Lao Cai city center, located at an altitude of about 1,000 - 1,500m above sea level.

Every spring, throughout the valleys and hillside villages of the Bac Ha white plateau, forests of pure white plum blossom simultaneously, creating a poetic scene, like a fairy tale painting in the midst of the vast mountains and forests of the Northwest.
In early January, according to Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, the entire Bac Ha plateau was ablaze with the pure white color of plum blossoms.
The endless plum gardens, spread throughout communes such as Ta Van Chu, Lau Thi Ngai, Na Hoi, Thai Giang Pho, Ban Pho, bring a peaceful and poetic beauty.
Plum blossom season in Bac Ha is not as brilliant as peach blossom, nor as elegant as ban flower, but has a characteristic gentleness and purity.
Tiny flowers with fragile petals and pure white color bloom together on the branches, creating white tree canopies like clouds floating on the hillsides.
From afar, the entire Bac Ha plateau seems to be immersed in a sea of white clouds, with roofs looming among the flower forests, creating a picturesque landscape painting.
In the morning, when the first sunlight shone, the sparkling petals in the morning mist, bringing a sense of peace and clear.
The peaceful, poetic scenery here also attracts many tourists from near and far to visit and take photos in early spring.

According to research, plum blossom season in Bac Ha usually begins in late January and early February. When the weather starts to get warmer, millions of small white plum blossoms begin to bloom, bursting with life, showing off their proud, dreamy beauty in the vast nature.
