This is a practical activity to achieve achievements to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the Vietnam People's Public Security Traditional Day (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025); 20 years of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025); welcoming the first Congress of the Can Tho City Police Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030 successfully, towards the 14th National Party Congress.
On August 14, the Youth Union of Can Tho City Police coordinated with functional units to organize the inauguration ceremony of the "8-19 House" Youth Project to present to officers, soldiers, and youth union members with difficult housing circumstances in Phong Dien commune and Cai Rang ward.
According to the City Police Youth Union, the 3 houses that were started at the end of June 2025 have now been completed and handed over to Senior Lieutenant Dinh Cong Tan (Department of Administrative Management of Social Order Police), Second Lieutenant Huynh Hong Ha (Duty Soldier at Detention Center No. 1) and Comrade Nguyen Hung Dung (Head of the Security and Order Protection Team at the facility).
Joined by the joy of receiving the handover of the new, spacious house, at the inauguration ceremony, comrade Nguyen Hung Dung, Head of the Security and Order Protection Team in Binh Xuan Hamlet, Phong Dien Commune, could not hide his emotions.
Comrade Nguyen Hung Dung shared that he has been waiting for the day to have a solid home, no longer having to worry about leaking rain and sunshine. The new house is not only a place to shelter from the rain and sun, but also a great source of motivation for him to continue to contribute to the work of security and order in the locality.
That happiness was also evident on the face of Second Lieutenant Huynh Hong Ha, a conscripted soldier working at Detention Center No. 1.
It is known that Ha's family's circumstances are extremely difficult. Her sick father and weak elderly mother sell lottery tickets to make a living, making life always precarious. A sturdy roof is a dream that seems unlikely to ever be achieved.
Now, living in a new house, that dream has come true. This is not only a place to live but also a great source of encouragement, giving Ha more strength to continue to strive and contribute to the Fatherland. He believes that the attention of leaders at all levels is the motivation for him to live worthy of the ideal of "Forgetting oneself for the country, serving the people".
The City Police Youth Union also said that in the coming time, the Union will continue to advise on the inauguration of 1 "Great Unity" house and 4 "8 19.8 House".
This is an annual activity of the City Police youth, fostering the tradition of mutual love, sharing difficulties, supporting comrades and teammates to soon stabilize their lives, work with peace of mind, complete their tasks excellently and always steadfastly on the path of serving the Fatherland and the People.
