On September 18, the leader of Lam Vien Forest Management Board informed that recently, the functional forces have organized the clearance of 80 square meters of encroached and re-encroached forestry land in Sub-area 149B.
This land area is located right on Cam Ly - Mang Line road which is under construction and expansion. This route is considered a key tourist route so the land on both sides of the road is of high value.
In addition, the above land location is adjacent to a land area that has been stably cultivated by local people for many years. About 2 months ago, the authorities discovered that nearly 100 square meters of forestry land had been encroached upon to plant pine trees and build fences, so they reported to relevant agencies for clearance.
The violators have not yet been identified. At the time of the clearance, the authorities dismantled and confiscated 80 square meters of B40 mesh fence and many pine trees taller than 1.2 meters.
Notably, during the clearance process, Mr. Hung, a contractor, stepped on a syringe. At the scene, the syringes were glued to a hard board and buried underground right at the gate.
Afterwards, Mr. Hung was taken for a tetanus shot to prevent infection and exposure to other diseases. The incident caused panic among the victim as well as many other households.
