Strive to perform duties well
After merging 4 wards into 1 ward, the administrative boundaries and population size increased, creating a large workload for the staff, requiring cadres, civil servants and public employees to improve their sense of responsibility to serve the people well.
Ms. Dang Ngoc Xuyen - judicial officer - civil status, Thoi Binh ward (new) - said that after the merger, the number of people coming to the ward was quite large on the first day of operation. The civil servants tried to receive and resolve the documents promptly, meeting the needs of the people.
Mr. Le Hoang Nhut - a land official of Thoi Binh ward (new) - shared that the professional staff has assigned personnel at the one-stop department to receive people's documents, then will reallocate them to the officers in charge of the old ward, on that basis the officers of the wards will handle their own documents.
“When 4 wards are merged, the work pressure will be greater, we have prepared ourselves mentally so we are not too surprised. Regarding professional work, civil servants need time to understand the origin of land in the area to support the people better,” said Mr. Nhut.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Nga - Chairman of the People's Committee of Thoi Binh Ward (new), Ninh Kieu District - informed that, regarding the merger of administrative boundaries of 4 wards into 1 new ward, first of all, the administrative apparatus of the Ward People's Committee will be consolidated, assigning specific responsibilities; informing people about the headquarters address - the place to handle administrative procedures to facilitate people in transactions and handling daily administrative records.
"We are determined and make every effort to fulfill the duties and tasks entrusted to us by the leaders and people to take on key positions in the locality," Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Nga emphasized.
On the morning of November 19, the People's Committee of Ninh Kieu District held a ceremony to announce the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of Can Tho City, period 2023 - 2025 and launch the administrative apparatus of the newly established Thoi Binh Ward. After the merger, Thoi Binh Ward (new) has a natural area of 1.99km2 and a population of 56,364 people.
