At noon on October 7, DK1/9 Shipyard (Ba Ke Cluster), belonging to DK1 Battalion, Naval Region 2, promptly received, treated and assisted a fisherman from Khanh Hoa who was in distress while working in DK1 waters.
Previously, while fishing in this area, fisherman Nguyen Van Cha (born in 1980, from Khanh Hoa) - traveling on fishing boat QNg 90789TS - suddenly suffered from severe abdominal pain, fatigue, and high blood pressure.
The crew on board quickly took the fishermen to DK1/9 Shipyard for emergency care.
Immediately after receiving the patient, officers, soldiers and military doctors of DK1/9 Shipyard urgently transferred the patient to the shipyard for examination and first aid, helping the fishermen overcome the critical condition.
At the same time, the unit reported to the Command Departments at all levels for coordination and implementation of the next support plan.
Through examination and initial assessment, the Thuong Ho military doctor determined that the patient showed signs of decreased blood pressure due to diving to fish at a depth of about 25m.
Due to the seriousness of the disease, beyond the ability to treat on-site, the Commander of DK1/9 Thuong Thiet contacted and instructed the fishing boat to take the patient to Truong Sa island infirmary for further treatment.
