Speaking to reporters at noon on November 6, a leader of the Department of Construction of Phu Tho province said that the contractor for the construction of Song Lo bridge - Urban and Industrial Park Development Investment Joint Stock Company (UDIDECO) has sent a document to the People's Committee of Phu Tho province and the Department of Construction on the proposal to repair and repair the damaged bridge using the enterprise's capital.

"If the repair is done, it cannot be done immediately, the Department of Construction is waiting for the consulting unit to conduct a comprehensive inspection to make a specific assessment, from which to propose and propose a solution to handle the problem of damage to the Song Lo bridge" - the leader of the Department of Construction informed.
Regarding this incident, Major General Nguyen Minh Tuan - Director of Phu Tho Provincial Police - has directed the Investigation Police Agency (Provincial Police) to inspect the scene of the Song Lo bridge damage, conduct investigation and verification measures.

Through inspection, the police agency found that the Song Lo bridge was damaged as reported. Therefore, the Investigation Police Agency reported to the Provincial Police Director and brought the above case to resolve according to the procedure for receiving denunciations, reports of crimes, and recommendations for prosecution according to the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code.
After that, the Investigation Police Agency coordinated with the Provincial People's Procuracy, the Department of Construction and a number of related units to conduct a crime scene investigation, collect samples for appraisal and is conducting an investigation, verification and handling of related individuals, agencies and organizations if they violated the law during the construction and operation of the Song Lo bridge.

The Lo River Bridge project started construction in 2010, and was inaugurated and put into use in 2015. This bridge is 517.8m long, the bridge surface is 7.5m wide, of which the traffic section is 6.5m, the railings on each side are 0.5m wide.
The Lo River Bridge consists of 9 spans, 8 pillars and 2 abutments, of which the main girder consists of 3 consecutive girder spans made of prestressed reinforced concrete constructed according to the balanced cantilever casting method; 6 approach spans made of prestressed reinforced concrete L girder.

According to the reporter's research, Song Lo bridge is a project of Song Lo bridge project and hardening of the left Lo dike with a total investment of 320 billion VND. Of which, the Song Lo bridge construction package has a total investment of 215 billion VND, the contractor is Urban and Industrial Park Development Investment Joint Stock Company (UDIDECO).
