A motel caught fire after a loud explosion, killing 2 people and injuring 1 in Ho Chi Minh City

A serious fire broke out at noon on May 10 at a motel located deep in alley 4, 182, Tang Nhon Phu A ward, Thu Duc city, killing two people and another person in critical condition.

Initial information, at around 10 o'clock, local people suddenly heard a loud explosion coming from the motel. Immediately after that, smoke and fire quickly flared up fiercely. People around shouted and tried to put out the fire on the spot, but were helpless because the fire spread quickly.

Upon receiving the report, Tang Nhon Phu A Ward Police quickly coordinated with the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (PCCC&CNCH) of Ho Chi Minh City Police to urgently go to the scene to deploy fire fighting and rescue work.

After a period of efforts, the fire was controlled and completely extinguished. However, the authorities discovered a woman about 45 years old had died on the spot with a charred body. Another young man about 20 years old was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment but did not survive. In addition, another seriously injured man is currently being actively treated at Cho Ray Hospital.

The house where the fire occurred was located in a deep alley and was rented out. The scene of the fire is being blocked off by Tang Nhon Phu A Ward Police in coordination with Ho Chi Minh City Police's professional units to conduct an investigation and clarify the cause of this tragic explosion and fire.
