Currently, Dong Nai province is focusing on investing in expanding 3 projects including DT 769, DT 770B and DT 773 with a total investment of more than 18,000 billion VND to connect Long Thanh airport, including 2 expansion projects and 1 new construction investment project.
The project to upgrade and expand DT 769 road with a total length of nearly 30km, passing through Thong Nhat and Long Thanh districts with a total investment of more than 6,256 billion VND, will enhance traffic capacity between the key economic region of the South and the Central Highlands provinces, connecting to Long Thanh airport.
The project to upgrade and expand DT 773 road intersecting with Ring Road 4 - Ho Chi Minh City with a total investment of 4,311 billion VND is a traffic axis connecting Xuan Loc district, Cam My district, Long Khanh city with Long Thanh airport.
The DT 770B road project is a newly invested road with a length of more than 42km, a total investment of 8,043 billion VND, connecting the eastern and northeastern districts of Dong Nai province with Long Thanh airport and Xuan Que - Song Nhan, Bau Can - Tan Hiep industrial parks, connecting Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway, National Highway 51 and Cai Mep - Thi Vai seaport area (Ba Ria - Vung Tau province).
However, according to the People's Committee of Dong Nai province, the land auction in Dong Nai province is currently facing many difficulties due to the sluggish real estate market. Therefore, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province proposed that the National Assembly support part of the investment costs from the capital saved due to the reduction of the total investment of the project "Land recovery, compensation, resettlement support for Long Thanh airport" by about 3,730 billion VND (adjusted from 22,856 billion VND to 19,207 billion VND).
In addition, in Nhon Trach district, a locality located next to Long Thanh airport, 3 traffic projects have started construction in early 2024, including: Ton Duc Thang Street (25B), 25C Street Phase 1 (section 2) and Le Hong Phong Street extension connecting Long Thanh airport with a total investment of nearly 2,200 billion VND have been started by Nhon Trach District People's Committee to connect to Long Thanh airport.
The largest seaport in Dong Nai province is about to be exploited.
Phuoc An Port, covering an area of 183 hectares, located on the banks of Thi Vai River (Nhon Trach District), is the largest seaport in Dong Nai and will be put into operation from September 2024. This is the largest seaport in Dong Nai province, belonging to seaport group No. 5 - the seaport system in the Ho Chi Minh City - Dong Nai - Ba Ria - Vung Tau region.
Possessing many advantages, from natural conditions, surrounding waterway and road traffic infrastructure systems, Phuoc An port was formed with the expectation of bringing many economic values to Nhon Trach district and Dong Nai province, especially when Long Thanh airport is put into operation in 2026. Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper reporter, Mr. Truong Hoang Hai - General Director of Phuoc An Port Investment and Exploitation Petroleum Joint Stock Company (PAP) said that Phuoc An port is expected to be put into operation in September 2024.
According to Mr. Nguyen The Phong - Acting Chairman of Nhon Trach District People's Committee, to seize the development opportunities when Phuoc An Port Phase 1 comes into operation, Nhon Trach District has focused on and prioritized investment in traffic routes connecting to Phuoc An Port. Currently, the route connecting Phuoc An Port Phase 1, from the intersection with Highway 319 to the intersection with Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway, has been invested in and completed by the province and put into operation, while the route connecting Phuoc An Port, from the intersection with Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway to Phuoc An Port is also expected to be put into operation in early 2025.
