Accordingly, heavy rain from the evening of September 18 to this morning (September 19) caused some rivers and streams in Dan Hoa and Trong Hoa communes (Minh Hoa district) to rise, flood and be cut off.
At the K-Ai culvert (Dan Hoa commune, Cha Lo International Border Guard Station); CuPi culvert, Ta Co, Trong Hoa commune (Ra Mai Station), the water rose about 0.5-1m, people and vehicles could not pass.
Border guards have coordinated with local authorities to put up signs and warn people not to cross areas with fast-flowing water.
On the night of September 18, Ca Xeng Border Guard Station and Ra Mai Border Guard Station coordinated with local authorities to mobilize and organize the evacuation of 105 households/506 people in Trong Hoa, Hoa Son, and Thuong Hoa communes located in areas at risk of landslides and flooding to safe places (such as relatives' houses and community cultural houses).
The provincial Border Guard force maintains 42 teams with 120 officers and soldiers to closely monitor the local situation; coordinate with localities to propagate and support people to reinforce their houses to prevent storms, and not to fish in rivers and streams.
At the same time, continue to check and review areas at risk of landslides and flooding to update plans to evacuate people to safety.
