On the evening of July 5, from about 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., there were sudden thunderstorms in Da Nang City. Heavy to very heavy rain caused local flooding on some low-lying roads in the inner city, causing many inconveniences to traffic and people's lives.
Recorded on streets such as Quang Trung, Le Duan, Ong Ich Khiem, Quang Trung, in front of Da Nang Hospital, the water level ranged from 20 - 30 cm, in some places the water was deep, causing motorbikes to stall, cars to turn around or move very slowly.
On the streets, people had a hard time moving through flooded areas, many people had to climb onto the sidewalks to avoid water or push their vehicles.
In Trung Nu Vuong, Me Suot areas and low-lying residential areas along the river, water also flooded into their houses, forcing some households to raise their assets and put tables and chairs to avoid water entering their houses.
