On the morning of November 2, Lao Dong Newspaper reporters were present at Bac Son hamlet, Thung Nai commune (Phu Tho), the mourning atmosphere engulfed the small house where the funeral was held for Mr. Doan Van Dung (27 years old) - the victim who unfortunately drowned while attending a wedding in Hoa Binh lake.

In a house with a fibro cement roof, a simple funeral, Mr. Dung's parents sat silently hugging their son's ashes. A house that did not have many items has now become even more deserted and empty.
The young wife held her under one-year-old child, her eyes red, and her face was dirty because she had not slept for many nights. Besides, the eldest daughter quietly rests on her mother's shoulder. The funeral space was as quiet as a piece of land, with only the sound of choking and the roar of children.

The silence to the point of numbness was suddenly interrupted by the bloating of Ngoc Tram (the eldest daughter), the saying "father, come back to me..." and the crying of the 8-year-old girl that made everyone suffocate.
Previously, on the evening of October 31, after attending his friend's wedding, Mr. Dung unfortunately slipped and fell into Hoa Binh lake. Although the authorities and people have made efforts to search, the victim's body was not found until noon on November 1.
Dung's passing left a lasting regret in the hearts of his family, friends and neighbors.
Ms. Doan Hong Nhung (Dung's cousin) said: "Dung's father is 54 years old this year, but his health is poor and he is no longer able to work hard. Her mother has a mental illness and has to be treated with medicine for a long time, and her spirit is unstable. The whole family relied on the labor of Dung, the only son in the family.
However, the incident came too unexpectedly. Duong passed away, leaving behind a young wife and two young children, the second child was only 10 months old, said Ms. Nhung.
According to Ms. Nhung, Dung's wife works as a garment worker, but because her parents are often sick, they often have to quit their jobs to stay home to take care of their young children and take care of their parents. As for Dung, who would hire him to do anything, sometimes to plot grass, carry fertilizer, grow sugarcane, sometimes to carry rice for hire...

Neighbors said that Dung was a gentle, hard-working person who loved his wife and children very much. Despite his hard life, Dung always tries to work for hire everywhere to earn money to take care of his mother's medicine and send his children to school.
"I am very filial, always thinking about my parents and children. But fate did not allow it to stay longer, a neighbor shared.
Talking to reporters, Mr. Vu Ngoc Nhung, Head of Bac Son hamlet, Thung Nai commune, said: "Dung's family is a poor household, Dung is the Secretary of the hamlet's Youth Union and actively participates in the activities of the union. After the incident, local authorities visited and encouraged the family."
"Dung's sudden passing left a lot of pain and loss for the family, especially the two young grandchildren. With such a situation, I really hope the attention and help of philanthropists, said Mr. Nhung.
